Amber Baca-Sainsbury

Amber has a passion for Sierra County schools and assuring the best possible experience for the students there. She is a lover of learning and educating. In her words, “The work that Sierra Schools Foundation does is truly inspiring, we bring programs to our rural schools that wouldn’t exist otherwise.” Amber has worked at SPJUSD for approximately ten years and knows firsthand the difference that SSF makes. Sierra Schools Foundation has funded programs such as music, art, STEM, and travel. She facilitated a STEM program that SSF funded, which exposed primary students to science and project-based learning. She has chaperoned SSF funded trips to Ashland, Oregon for the Shakespeare Festival as well. In addition to her dedication to the school, she serves as a board member for the Sierra County Arts Council. She is an artist and outdoor enthusiast. Her favorite activity is adventuring in the wilds of the Sierras with her husband and two children.
